What the Professional Giveaway Adds to the Free Edition

According to ASCOMP’s product page, the Standard edition is free for personal use and evaluation. It shows your CPU, RAM, GPU, motherboard, driver and BIOS versions, and reads drive data. The Professional edition adds:

Automatic background drive monitoring with thresholds you can set.
Notifications by Windows or email when a drive reaches a critical value.
Business use, which the Standard edition does not allow.

ASCOMP lists the Professional edition at 24.90 USD. In my customer menu, the giveaway license shows an unlimited usage period, with downloads, updates, and support until 2026/11/29.

Windows Support and Requirements

Windows: Windows 11, Windows 10, and Windows Server 2016 to 2025.
Processor: Intel-compatible or Windows on ARM.
Memory and disk: 2 GB of RAM at minimum (4 GB recommended) and 50 MB of free space.

How to Claim the ASCOMP PC Internals Giveaway

Follow these five steps. The screenshots are from my own registration. I blurred my customer number, confirmation link, and computer name.

Step 1: Fill in the Registration Form

Open the registration page, enter your first name, last name, email address, and country, then paste the promo code and click Send. Check the domain before you type your email, as I explain in my guide to checking any link before you click.

Step 2: Confirm Your Email

ASCOMP sends an email titled Your ASCOMP software registration. Click the link inside it to continue the registration and open your customer menu.

Step 3: Download the Full Version and Copy Your Customer ID

In the customer menu, copy your Customer ID and click Download Full Version. My download was pcinternalsVV.exe, and the setup asked me to choose a language. The menu lists the product as PC Internals Professional, version 2.106.

Step 4: Run the Installer

Open the downloaded file, select English, choose I accept the agreement, and click Next. Then finish the setup and launch PC Internals.

Step 5: Unlock With Your Customer Number

The licensing window asks for your 10-digit customer number. Paste the Customer ID from your customer menu and click Unlock.

What I Saw Inside PC Internals

I tested on a Windows Server 2025 virtual machine, so some hardware values were empty. The program has five tabs: System, Drives, Processor, RAM, and GPU.

System tab

The System tab showed the Windows edition, version number 10.0.26100, release 24H2, installation date, motherboard and BIOS details, and Secure Boot status. It also showed the last update check.

Drives tab

The Drives tab listed my virtual disk, its bus type (Serial SCSI), and TRIM as activated. S.M.A.R.T. showed “not supported”, and operating hours and lifespan showed n/a. That is normal for a virtual disk, so I could not test real temperatures or alerts.

Skip it if you only want to look at your hardware specs now and then. The free Standard edition covers personal use. The giveaway makes sense if you want background drive monitoring with alerts, or if you use the tool for work.

Download it only from ASCOMP’s own customer menu or product page. In my test the setup asked for a language and a license agreement, and nothing else. Keep your confirmation link and customer number private, because they belong to your account.
